Romer is one of the main historical buildings in Frankfurt. This is the City Hall that has existed for more than 600 years. It still functions, even though instead of trade and fairs at the time, it now plays the role of concluding marriages and other official events. Romer was built in the neo-Gothic style, elements of which are still preserved, and together with other buildings on the square, they make up the Old Town.
